Program overview

Who Virtual IOP In Orange County Is For

Virtual IOP fits adults who have a private space, a reliable internet connection, and the time to attend live groups. It doesn't replace a full day of PHP on campus.

If you need more time in person, IOP and PHP meet at 23726 Birtcher Dr in Lake Forest, and you still sleep at home. Admissions will confirm which option fits you, then help you verify your insurance, since benefits vary by plan.

At a glance

  • No Commute

You join from a private space when distance or logistics make it hard to get to campus.

  • Real Clinical Care

Licensed clinicians lead your groups and one-on-one sessions, with the same expectations as in-person IOP.

  • Dual Diagnosis Online

Substance use and mental health are treated together in one plan, even when your sessions are online.

  • A Bridge To In-Person Care

You can move into PHP or IOP in Lake Forest when coming to campus becomes possible or necessary.

How virtual IOP works

Structure You Can Join From Home

You'll need a private space, reliable internet, and a commitment to show up on camera and ready to work, just as you would on campus.

  1. Setup

    Tech And Privacy Check

Before you start, you'll confirm your device, your connection, and a private place where you can take part fully.

  2. Join

    Live Clinical Sessions

You join scheduled groups and one-on-one sessions with licensed clinicians in real time, not prerecorded videos.

  3. Practice

    Skills Between Sessions

You'll have homework and a crisis plan for the hours you're offline, and your clinicians will check in on how it went.

  4. Review

    Progress Reviews

Your team reviews how you're doing and can change your hours or move you to in-person care when that's the better fit.

Schedules depend on your level of care, and admissions can walk you through a sample week before you start.

Why this level

Why Choose Virtual IOP At OC Revive

OC Revive is outpatient only, so you get scheduled treatment hours in Lake Forest and go home at the end of each day.

  • 01

    Fewer Barriers To Care

Distance, transportation, or a tight schedule doesn't have to keep you from intensive outpatient treatment.

  • 02

More Time For Work And Family

You skip the commute and still attend several clinical sessions each week.

  • 03

    A Real Clinical Team

You work with OC Revive clinicians you can get to know, not an anonymous app.

  • 04

    Easy Move To Campus

You can switch to PHP, IOP, or OP on campus when in-person care is the better next step.

Good fit

Virtual IOP May Be Right If…

  • 01

You Have A Private, Reliable Setup

You have a quiet space, a stable internet connection, and you're comfortable taking part on camera.

  • 02

You Need IOP But Can't Get Here

Distance or logistics make it hard to come to campus several days a week right now.

  • 03

You're Stable Enough For Outpatient Care

You don't need on-site medical monitoring or a full day of PHP.

Not the right fit

Virtual IOP Isn't The Right Fit When…

  • You Don't Have Privacy Or Reliable Tech

A shared space or an unstable connection makes it hard to take part fully and keep your sessions confidential.

  • You Need More In-Person Support

If PHP or in-person IOP would be safer for you, admissions will tell you so.

  • You're In Crisis Or At Immediate Risk

Emergency care or a higher level of care has to come first. If you're in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.

    • Practice skills in group and individual settings
  • 02
