Important limits
We cannot guarantee specific coverage
Final benefits depend on your plan, medical necessity, and payer rules.
Emergencies need ER / 911 first
Verification is not crisis care. Stabilize medically, then call us for next steps.
Some plans require different pathways
If we cannot serve your network or acuity, admissions will be transparent.

Does Health Net Have Rehab Coverage?
Health Net may offer coverage for rehab treatment for many policyholders. For people who have a Health Net Medicare or Medicaid plan, this coverage is dependent on specifics of federal and state requirements for substance abuse treatment.
For individuals who purchase their Health Net plan through a state exchange, for example in California, these plans are required to offer comprehensive mental health and behavioral health services, including treatment for substance abuse.
Specific Elements Of Rehab Coverage That May Be Available To Health Net Members Include:
With rehab coverage from Health Net, policies must also meet guidelines of federal mental health parity laws. This means that coverage for services related to mental and behavioral health, including substance abuse, can't be more restrictive than medical coverage.
Health Net Mental Health
As noted above, many of the mental health services provided by Health Net are offered through their subsidiary, MHN. Members may have MHN behavioral and mental health coverage as a standalone option, or it may be integrated with their Health Net policy. Health Net covers many mental health services.
Is Mental Health Covered By Health Net Insurance?
Health Net works with an extensive network of mental health providers. They can include clinical social workers, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, psychiatrists, and counselors. Members of Health Net can search the MHN member website to find a provider on their own for any services related to mental health, or they can contact the company if they need help locating the right provider for them.
Some MHN and Health Net benefit plans will cover services that are from providers who are out-of-network, while others don't, but the company does recommend members used a network provider if at all possible.
Health Net Behavioral Health
Health Net covers behavioral health services for members, which are in line with state and federal guidelines regarding mental health service provisions for health insurance providers.
Is Health Net Behavioral Health Covered By Insurance?
While behavioral and mental health services are covered, there are differences between plans that will determine the payment responsibility of the insured individual. For example, in Southern California, there are four policy levels which are Platinum, Gold, Sliver and Bronze. These plans vary in their deductibles, copays and monthly premiums. For example, with a Platinum Plan, the member would be responsible for only 10% of covered services, including behavioral health, while with a Gold plan that goes up to 20%
Covered behavioral health services for Health Net members might include sessions with a psychologist, psychiatrist or counselor, or alternative levels of care, which can range from a few hours per day to several days a week. Behavioral health coverage from Health Net can also cover inpatient treatment in some cases.

What To Expect From Health Net For Rehab
Health Net medical plans, delivered through MHN, are provided in line with Federal Parity guidelines, which means mental health and substance abuse services have to be covered in a way that's no more restrictive than medical care.
Programs that are covered may include treatment in a hospital or residential facility, and this can include partial hospitalization and residential treatment. Coverage also includes follow-up and aftercare treatment.
There are costs that are the member's responsibility with most of these plans, so for example, with the HMO Gold plan offered by Health Net, there is a $600 member responsibility per day for substance use disorder(inpatient) treatment for up to five days, while the member responsibility for outpatient substance use disorder is $30.
